No GPS spoofers for me pls Last updated : 6/10/2026 + Changelog : - 6/10/2026 - Initial commit + why not? - Online taxi / food delivery / courier service : setting aside our issues against them, actively using these spoofers for them is just distasteful. - As the courier/driver, you're only removing transparency on your part; potentially overcomplicating shit for everyone. - As the client/recipient, we don't necessarily have issues with it; but only if the platform demanded your real location with no option to confirm the "elsewhere" you are is where you want the service rendered (especially if the service was actually for someone else). Otherwise, it serves no purpose whatsoever for the customer. - GPS games (Pokemon Go) : We'd never touch that shitgame even with a spectral 10-foot pole. - Gastly (or Riolu, Torchic, etc. - insert your favorite shitbeast) spawned in Saigon? You gonk, Chimchars were chilling in Ubud! ...and various others of Pokemon/location combo that only Pokemon Go players get. - Apparently Pokemon Go sells data to the McUglies? Imma fuck off, the cuckchair isn't where my buttcheeks belong. - GNU (or whatever branch of FOSS for that matter) folks are free to insert their "proprietary? no thx" arguments here. But not "here" here, this is just a footnote to nod at them. - Real-life appointments : We'd put on a per-case argument, with one of them screaming "bro stop overcomplicating, just say yes i can go or no i can't go" among the infinite others. Only thing is, we have too much cases to justify flooding this entry with those per-case arguments save for the one we entered previously. - Region locks (like Goolag Play Store) : Augh. - Hostile entities : Welp, fuck. Perhaps this is a legitimate case to use them, but unfortunately we have no clear answer for that one. Simply dropping off the radar until the heat dies down works, but depending on whether your personal device was tracked (or someone planted a tracker somewhere you didn't check) it might not be a solution. Not to mention you need someone and/or something to check if the heat on you is still up. Either way, we have little to no knowledge in this thing so we can't say any solid stuff here. + Alternatives - seek saner & more accessible alternatives that do not require you to think about using a GPS spoofer in the first place. - Post office box and/or forward address for courier services. - Cook your own food instead of getting food deliveries and/or visiting cafes/diners/restaurants - Actually, just don't bother with GPS spoofers. I readily apologize to its developers but I find little to no use for them.
